La Gazzetta Dello reports claim that AC Milan wants Rasmus Hojlund and Serie A Giants started open talk with Manchester United forward.Rasmus Hojlund, who left Atalanta in a deal worth €75m plus up to €10m in bonuses while Erik Ten Hag was still in charge of Manchester United, is no longer a guaranteed part of the club’s plans after an underwhelming first two years, a change in head coach and a transfer window that has brought two, possibly three new attackers to Old Trafford.
AC Milan, meanwhile, are prepared to pounce on the Denmark international, as the Rossoneri are in need of a new striker to compete and rotate with Santiago Gimenez, who is currently the only senior striker on the club’s books.
The demand for the Rasmus Højlund card is around £30 million, i.e. 35 million, but the feeling is that the price and even the formula are further negotiable. Milan’s first contacts with Rasmus have been positive, since he was offered last weeks: a new adventure in Serie A he would like to try because he knows the championship and the challenge with the Devil fascinates him. His is a yes to the transfer, but now Milan’s moves will have to be evaluated.
More complicated at the moment is the matter related to Dušan. Milan offering them 6-7 million net for the next season without Champions would risk blowing up the Monte Engaggi bank. Seeing that all the other footballers who are negotiating the renewal (Maignan due 2026, Loftus-Cheek, Tomori, Saelemaekers and Pulisic in 2027 even though the latter has an option in favour of the club to extend until 2028) then they would ask for much higher figures.
And then there’s another factor, the one connected to the value of Dusan Vlahović’s card: Juventus, which has a 19.5 million budget for the last year, doesn’t accept handicaps and asks for 30 million. Thiaw was liked among the redneckers, but his valuation is now splashed above quota 30 million (read it in the following pages). Max would like to work with Dušan again, a feeling shared by the Forward.
