AS Roma has reached an agreement with Hellas Verona for the transfer of Italian Daniele Ghilardi.

After weeks of negotiations, the capital club has sealed the necessary agreement to bring the young defender to Gian Piero Gasperini’s orders. Accroding to Fabrizio Romano, AS Roma have secured the signing of Italian center-back Daniele Ghilardi from Hellas Verona in a deal worth €10 million plus add-ons.

The 21-year-old defender is set to undergo his medical shortly, with the agreement fully sealed as Roma continue to strengthen their backline ahead of the upcoming season.

Ghilardi, highly rated for his defensive composure and ability to play out from the back, impressed during his spell with Verona, attracting interest from several Serie A clubs before Roma won the race for his signature, and its a big addition for the club.
