Rodrygo Goes might play for a English Premier League club
Tottenham Hotspur has taken a strong initiative to sign Rodrygo, the 23-year-old Brazilian football player. Rodrygo is currently in contract with Real Madrid till June 2028.
However, Tottenham has officially asked Real Madrid for the green light to indulge in direct contact with Rodrygo for the possible transfer details. Real Madrid has not given any response yet, but the sources say that the deal may be considered if Real Madrid has been given a fair offer.
Rodrygo is skillfull and adaptable, he can play as centre forward, left winger and at his natural position(right-winger). These flexibilities of him can provide more attacking options and tactical variety to Tottenham.
At just 23 years old Rodrygo has played in the biggest European games, including the semi finals and finals. Tottenham needs players with the kind of winning mentality and pressure handling ability.
Departure of Harry Kane leads the Spurs to rebuild their front line for which Rodrygo could be a core piece in strengthening the attack alongside with Son, Maddison and Kulusevski.
Rodhas not seen in any personal contact with Tottenham but if Rodrygo does move, Real Madrid will lose a talented attacker, but the emergence of stars like Arda Güler, Endrick and Kylian Mbappé may soften the blow. The club could use funds from a potential Rodrygo deal to balance the squad or invest in other positions.
If the deal goes through, Tottenham will secure a proven winner with experience in Europe’s biggest matches. Rodrygo’s arrival could also help the club return to Champions League contention and bring fresh energy to their forward line.
The Rodrygo-to-Tottenham rumour is exciting transfer story of the summer.
