Benjamin Sesko targeted by the Red Devils amid Newcastle United Interest.
Manchester United have reportedly held detailed negotiations with RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Šeško during the club’s training camp, as reported by journalist David Ornstein.
The 21 years old, Slovenian forward Šeško combines pace, power, and clinical finishing, which makes him a highly captivating option for top clubs. He achieved fame and gain recognition at Red Bull Salzburg before making a move to RB Leipzig, where he continues to shine in the Bundesliga.
Manchester United, are of the view to add more firepower to their frontline. RB Leipzig are known for selling talents at the right price and with Šeško’s market value estimated at over €50 million, negotiations could heat up in the coming days. Leipzig may not want to lose their star forward easily, but Man United’s intent seems serious. If the deal progresses, Manchester United fans could see a fresh, dynamic striker line up in red next season.
Newcastle United are also interested in the player, but it is thought – as it stands – Manchester United is Sesko’s preferred destination. The interest in Sesko is being driven by recruitment director Christopher Vivell – he is widely credited for scouting Sesko for Red Bull Salzburg when he was only 16.ManchesterUnited’s interest in Sesko is long-standing – they have been keeping an eye on his development for a number of years. While the focus is clearly on player sales, United have done due diligence on a number of strikers in this Transfer window.
Talks have been held with Aston Villa over Ollie Watkins, while there was also a tentative interest in Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson. However, the fees and structure for those players have been deemed too high at this stage.
While Benjamin Sesko would cost more than Watkins overall, it’s thought a more favourable structure could be struck with Leipzig.
RB Leipzig, demands €75 million guaranteed if they sells their striker Benjamin Šeško.
They also want extra payments based on performance or future achievements,
Apart from these all they want a percentage of the money from any future sale of Šeško by the buying club.
