Premier League Season Officially Kicks Off ! The wait is over
Following the league’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), all formal changes from the 2024/25 campaign have now been confirmed.
Leeds, Burnley, and Sunderland Join the Premier League
After earning promotion from the EFL Championship, three clubs are now officially part of the Premier League:
Leeds United
BurnleySunderland
These teams have received official confirmation of their Premier League status and have been welcomed into the top tier of English football.
Relegated Teams Transfer Premier League Shares
To make way for the promoted clubs, the three relegated teams — Leicester City, Ipswich Town, and Southampton — have returned their Premier League share certificates. These shares, which symbolize a club’s membership in the league, have been officially canceled by the Premier League Board. In their place, new share certificates have been signed for Leeds, Burnley, and Sunderland. These clubs have also been formally added to the Premier League share register, completing the legal process.
